Verified Reviewer | Menifee, CaliforniaCarls jr store # 110**** employee Flora cancelled my online app order right in front of me
I scheduled my online app order to be picked up at 05:15 PM, Wednesday, Sept 04 at the pick-up location: 26100 Newport Dr. Sun City, CA 92584 (9**)**9-9887.
Order #: (deleted # for this site). This Carl's Jr store # 110**** provided me with someone else's transaction receipt in the amount of $46.59, credit card ending in 0256. Reference # 3486****. Dated, 9/04/24, 17:09:36.
My screenshot confirmation states: 'Come inside or join the drive-thru line to let us know when you have arrived.' I arrived at the drive-thru line at 5:17 PM. I had to repeatedly state the name on the order I was picking up because the guy, who claimed his name was Richard, stated he could not hear me. Richard, who was at the drive-thru window, said I needed to press a button to let them know I had arrived. I drove to the drive-thru window and asked Richard why I needed to press a button when I was there to pick up my order.
I drove to the front of the store to go inside and show my confirmed order on my phone. I spoke with another employee named Flora, who identified herself as the person in charge. She stated I needed to press a button on my cell phone to let them know I was there to pick up my order. I showed her the image of my confirmation.
I took a screenshot of my order prior to leaving my home. I asked Flora why would I need to alert you of my presence when I'd scheduled a time of 5:15 PM for pick up? The order # reflects the order was placed, and directions state: 'Come inside or join the drive-thru line to let us know when you have arrived.' She kept repeating, 'We don't have your order.' I told her if someone was paying attention to the tablet sitting on top of the large metal bin you would have noticed my order which was placed at 4:41 PM. They had over 30 minutes to at least acknowledge receipt of my online order and begin preparing my natural fries and fried zucchini totaling $5.21 for pick up at 5:15 PM.
Flora told me I could cancel the order because she didn't receive it. I told her she needed to check her computer or tablet for my online order because I had an order # and I didn't wish to cancel my order. She went to the tablet sitting on top of the large metal bin and told me she didn't see my order. Immediately after Flora had the tablet in her hand, I noticed my order on the app reflected the words, 'CANCELLED' at 5:28 PM.
I took a screenshot as soon as I noticed my order was cancelled. I didn't cancel this order, I believe Flora did. I am appalled that your staff can treat customers in this manner and get away with it. I was trying to support Carl's Jr during these difficult financial times, but I see I will have no other choice but to take my business to a place where I am valued and appreciated as a customer.
I asked for the Manager, but was told she was not in the store. Flora told me her name was Aracel Lopez. I have an email and screenshot of my order reflecting the time I placed it on the app and the scheduled pick-up time of 5:15 PM. I would appreciate a phone call from your Executive Team and/or Regional Manager to resolve this issue and ensure this occurrence doesn't happen to another customer who, too, might become an ex-customer of Carl's Jr.
Also, I would appreciate it if you could have your drive-thru microphone repaired and/or tested to ensure your employees have the ability to hear customers when communicating via the drive-thru. I had to yell at the microphone when communicating with the drive-thru employee. This is not the first time I have had to yell when the traffic is busy on Newport Road. The traffic is extremely loud on Newport Road which is very close to the drive-thru and overpowers the customer's voice when speaking.
I would appreciate Mr. Justin Falciola testing your app to ensure cancelled orders do not become an everyday occurrence and providing further training to your staff who should be monitoring the app for online orders. Maybe you should have some type of jingle or something to alert your staff that an online order was just placed for pick-up at their store location. Lastly, with so much fraud occurring all over the United States, I don't think it is wise to provide a random receipt to a customer it doesn't belong to.
I would be extremely upset if I didn't receive my receipt, but instead it was handed to another customer to use as scratch paper for your employee to write the manager's name on it, circling the store #, address, and phone number. That is definitely an invasion of privacy and your staff, specifically Flora, should have never used another customer's transaction receipt to hand over to me. I asked for the store number and without any thought, she handed over someone else's transaction receipt with the store information circled and the store manager's name written on the back.
I have grandchildren who were really looking forward to their French fry and fried zucchini orders from Carl's Jr. Thank you for making my evening a disappointment for my grandchildren and me.

The crew who took my order could not understand what I order then I complain because he gave me a wrong order. Then a lady asked my card to charge me more.
The guy gave my order and close the window i forgot that the other crew took my card so I left. When I get home and about to eat both my orders are not fresh esp. the lettuce wrap.
As in I think they meant to give me a bad food. I just put them in the trash.

When asked if I was able to use the restroom before I order my food that way my food wasn't cold when I was ready to eat it. She stated" no , you must order first " .
I asked well I didn't want my milkshake to be melted and my loaded price to be called because I had an upset stomach and really had to use the bathroom I knew it might take a a little longer than normal that was my reasoning for asking. I finished I went back to grab my food and milkshake I had order and I knew by the way my food looked and felt when I touched it .I was right . Not only was I write the customer service was *** poor and lacked any respect for the customers manners or respect for her job at all he looks as she didn't want to be here and was unhappy with what she was doing in the first place.
I continue to have attitude from the manager / worker the entire time! I took a picture of my milkshake and yes I drink half of it because she said that she wasn't going to replace it so therefore I had a drink as quickly as I can before it completely went to waste as you can see in the picture and the price the cheese is in the melt it it's completely cold.
User's recommendation: I recommend you you have a meeting with his manager and figure out ways you can accommodate your customers better and a training course on better customer service immediately cuz this was very unprofessional and very very inappropriate and rude

Verified ReviewerOvercharged, locked out, denied refund by Manager
Two days ago, I bought 2 double cheeseburgers and was charged 4.00 instead of the 3.79 posted on their menu. When I asked the manager, who said her name was Lydia/Linda, why I was overcharged and when she asked for proof, I showed her the receipt and the menu price via photo.
She told me I'm not getting a refund, call corporate and slammed the drive-thru window on me. I drove around to go inside and she locked the doors.
I'm taking this public to social media. This has to stop.

Hello, I went to Carl's Jr. and ordered food through the drive thru.
The guy came and charged us and left. Five minutes passed and still no response, ten minutes - still no response, fifteen minutes - no response or a 'hey, your food is almost ready.' Mind you, I could see a lady in there on her phone. So, we started to honk. We were also the only ones in the drive-thru.
And only one person was inside ordering. It was empty. After twenty-one minutes, we got our food and drove away because we had bookings for my son's birthday.
When I got on the freeway, I opened my chicken sandwich and it had cheese when I specifically said no cheese because I am allergic. We just spent $47.93 and I couldn't even eat my food or return because I would have been late to my son's celebration.

Went to your restaurant and it wasnt even open at 6:30 when normal people are headed into work the employees were talking to a customer at the door which they were also turning away in time of economic uncertainty you would think your company would care enough to open during business hours also would have services in place for regular customers to contact with problems no wonder people dont spend their hard earned money at these types of establishments anymore the food is the same but the service is lacking any personal accountability

I ordered a burger. I ordered extra lettuce and extra tomato.
I didnt get the extra tomato. I ordered a guacamole burger. The burger was called wasnt even warmed wasnt freshly cooked during the process of receiving my order. I asked if there was a discount for senior citizens, he said no, Im already giving your change.
he said you didnt ask for a senior discount I said Im asking now. Is there a senior discount and he said Ill give you $.65 so I end up trying to eat the burger it probably had just been sitting there for long when you pay $10 for a burger to get a hot freshly made burger. When Carl was alive, I used to go to Carls Jr. a lot and get their chicken sandwich always good always always fresh.
Id like to receive something so that I can order freshly made hot chicken sandwich in the future. You have my email customer service should be easier to reach when theres a problem you dont wanna call the location. Do you want to talk to corporate and theres no corporate number on this receipt, the receipt number is 110-**** Carls Jr. store 110-**** at 208 East Highway 246 Buellton, CA 93427.
My order number is 202775.
the cashier was Juan. This is the second time Ive gone to this location in all my years of coming up to Buellton and based on the service I received other than ordering a complimentary chicken sandwich at some point in the future I probably wouldnt go back to this location.

Verified ReviewerTreated Unfairly and Then Refused Service
On Wednesday, April 24th I visited the Carls Jr. restaurant which is attached to a Loves.
located at 12605 Central Ave, Albuquerque, NM. The time was around 9:40 AM. My wife had given me a scratch off lotto ticket in the amount of $5. Before I went next door to place my order for French toast sticks I turned in the ticket and received a partially torn $5 bill from the cashier at Loves.
I placed my order and when I took out the $5 bill to put in on the counter the rest of the bill ripped and the employee witnessed it. I explained to the employee I had just changed a scratch off ticket for $5 right next door at the Loves check out. The employee stated he would be unable to accept the bill.
I went next door to Loves to get scotch tape from the checkout lane but they did not have any so they sent me over to the diesel or truck side for tape. By this time I have already spent ten minutes of my time so I could tape the bill back together.
It was a clean break in the bill and I taped it back and you could tell that all the torn edges matched up. I returned to Carls Jr with the taped $5 bill to place my order. The employee had to get the manager whose name is Ken. I am fifty years old and I had worked in currency exchange for years as well as retail and there was never an issue of taken tapped torn bills as long as the edges matched.
The manager is explaining to me that it has to go through a scanner and so on and so forth.
By this time I tell him I don't have time I have to deliver packages for Amazon and I don't have time to sit here and debate I have been here for ten minutes. The manager then tells me that I have only been there for a minute in which I reply no sir I have been here for ten minutes I was already here about 10 minutes ago. The employee finally took my $5 bill and then all of a sudden a female that works for Loves, a person whom I believe may have been the manager on duty at Loves, tells the employee to refuse service and give me back the $5. I tried to explain to the lady what happened but by that time she states they are refusing me service.
I received my $5 back and left the store.
Upon leaving the store several Carls Jr employees follow after me and one was recording with her cell phone. I felt like I was treated unfairly like a criminal and did nothing wrong. Once the $5 bill ripped in front of the employee I got tap and tapped it together. I was not trying to pass a $50 or $100 bill it was only $5 for French toast sticks.
This matter should have been handled differently, I will never purchase anything from that Carls Jr location and I have even told my fellow delivery drivers who typically visit that establishment. I will also be posting a very negative review regarding my experience at this location. I don't know who the lady was from Loves
After leaving that location I went to a McDonalds further down the road used the same ripped $5 bill at the inside counter and they took it without any question and did not give me the 5th degree. Before using the $5 bill at McDonalds I took a picture of the front and back of the $5 bill.
If you would like me to send you a copy of the pic let me know.
You will then see how all of this could have been averted since all edges match up perfectly. Thank you for your time and I look forward to a response of how this issue will be resolved.

Verified ReviewerShrinkflation with price hike!
I spent 15 minutes waiting for a fried zucchini and 2 ranch wraps. 11.03 cents.
4 dollars of that was for 7 pieces of fried zucchini that didn't even fill the box! The ranch wraps were worth 2.50 maybe. The dining room had 2 guests. All the drive thru cars were directed to pull around and park in the 2 designated drive thru stalls in front of the store.
2 stalls 6 cars so people parked in random spots confusing the drive thru worker on who had what order. Complete stupid discombobulation at Carl's Jr in Yuma Az on 16th street. Only to get ripped off. Wasn't even in the drive thru and I got screwed.
7 pieces of fried zucchini 4 bucks. Carl's Jr has gone down the toilet with all the others.
- Grossly overpriced

Verified Reviewer | San Francisco, CaliforniaConflict at the Carls Jr, Banning, California location
The Regional Manager contacted me, and I explained what had happened at Carls Jr. Banning.
She was professional unlike the Male staff member that verbally and physically charged a customer who is a female Senior Citizen. Charges should have been filed and at the very least he should have been fired for treating a customer in such a manner.
I will be going back to see if the jerk still has a job. Hopefully he does not as he does not know how to deal with paying customers.
When my female cousin went to check on the food order, she said that she knew that they were a little busy and was told "sorry, give us a few minutes. After approximately 10 minutes later, when she went to check on the order, she saw our order sitting there getting cold and noticed that other people that had arrived well after us were being given their order. As a note we didn't have any special order requests so we were ordering straight of the menu offerings. My female cousin inquired as to why the other party was served and out the door with their milk shakes and food order that was placed well after ours and not an mobile order.
At that time a male employee that was large in stature ran from the back kitchen towards her in an aggressive manner and screamed "back the *** up *** The rest of our party was sitting at the back of the restaurant and heard the confrontation so my son got up and ran to the front because of the bullying and aggression of this male employee against his female cousin.
At that point the employee backed up because now he was being confronted for his behavior towards a woman. The male that was working the front and drive through apologized profusely and proceeded to hand my cousin the order and we left.

So you needed to use the restroom and we’re going to need extra time because of how you felt? Then after, you were going to eat this greasy slip and tip it off with dairy?
Why ask, just go. This is not elementary school, You do not need to ask to use the washroom.
By the time they realized you were using the washroom, it would have been too late for them to say no.
Should have just went without asking. If they were said something then then do not order anything and do not go back.
NO is NOT the SAME as RUDE. GROW UP
